This is a workshop for students who are confident drawing and painting people, but who want to explore advanced topics and techniques related to portraiture. Painting directly from the same live model, we will explore alla pima wet-on-wet oil painting techniques, composition, colour, and tone. Our goal is to develop a higher level of skill and competence while having lots of fun translating the reality of another person into paint

With clear step-by-step, hands-on instructions, a wealth of technical tips, continuous demonstrations, and personal instruction at each student’s easel, David will show students how to approach the challenges of portraiture with confidence in our ongoing personal journeys of expression through brush and paint.
