Create a Rolodex of watercolour or acrylic pigment interactions. Learn how to mix tones and tints to produce the desired value, warmth or coolness to accomplish the 3D affect on a 2D surface.
This is serious play with either watercolour or acrylic paint on watercolour paper without the stress of creating a painting.
9X12″ Watercolour pad with 140lb paper would be ideal or any student quality watercolour paper
Watercolour or Acrylic paints: For sure the primary colours: Phthalo Blue, Alizarin Crimson & Yellow light or lemon
Warm blue: Ultramarine Blue and a Cool blue: Cerulean
Warm Red: Quinacridone Red and Cool Red: Magenta
Secondary colours: Orange, Purple & Green Light
Any other colours you may have.
Brushes:3/4″ Angle, 3/8″ angle and 2″ round (or any you are comfortable with)
Paper towels……water containers
