Jennifer Callioux

In honour of her 40th year, Jennifer explored her appreciation for Wildlife, Seascape and Landscape. She spent as much time as possible in 2017 hiking with her camera in hand, and her “Eye on the Island”.  All of the photos you see displayed at this exhibit were taken on our very own Vancouver Island.

Jennifer holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University, and throughout her life has been in involved in various forms of artistic expression. After graduating, she moved to Victoria and created a business called “Acting Out”, teaching drama to children. It was at this point, while taking actors’ portraits on stage and in costume, that her passion for the art of photography grew. After the birth of her son Dylan, Jennifer became involved in studying baby portraiture. Dylan is now 11 years old, loves photo outings with his mom, and is very proud to also have one of his very own photos featured in this show 🙂

Jennifer studied photography at Camosun College as well as at various photography workshops and conferences. She has displayed her work throughout many venues across Vancouver Island and won several photography awards, including “Best Photo in Show” at the Sooke Fine Arts Exhibition. Over the past 10 years, she has captured over 100 weddings and has gained exceptional experience in family, fashion, boudoir and event photography.

Jennifer’s studio is located in Langford, and she is thrilled to display her work at the Coast Collective Art Centre this year, in her own neck of the woods.

Thank you for coming to celebrate her achievements
