President - Sheila Lintaman

Sheila has been working and studying in Victoria's arts community since the 1970s, printmaking, drawing and painting, but mostly working with fibre. Some of her experiences include working in a gallery, framing and selling art for 10 years. She studied in the Visual Arts Program at Camosun College - 1999-2001, volunteered for the Gallery-in-the-Schools Programme with the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria for 2 years, as well as working for 7 years on costume design for large-scale musical theatre productions. Sheila worked in the Schoolhouse Studio, operating a small gallery in the Metchosin Arts and Cultural Centre for 2 years before moving her studio to the Coast Collective in 2010, and has been here ever since. She loves being a part of the supportive art community that the Collective has established. Sheila plans to continue working with this wonderful group, to further support the arts on the South Island, and is very excited about expanding SASI's reach further into the community, encompassing all of the arts.

Secretary - Christina Morrison

Christina has been an artist since she could hold a pencil. Following in her grandparent's footsteps, she is constantly sketching, painting or decorating. Primarily a self-taught artist she has honed her skill through the things that inspire her. Her passions are ships, the sea and lighthouses and she is fortunate enough to work and live in a place of continual inspiration. Her choices of mediums are mainly charcoal and acrylics. Christina's day job is inspired by the sea as well, where she works as a Surface Fleet Production Clerk for Victoria Shipyards. Her administrative skills, combined with her passion for the arts will be a welcome addition to the SASI board.

Treasurer - Kathryn Fudge

Kathryn Fudge has always been driven to create art in one form or another. Even as a child she was constantly doing arts and crafts, or baking, or making clothes for her dolls. As an adult her creative skills allowed her to be a stay at home Mom to her three children and work from home in various jobs. She worked for many years as a seamstress, then set up an at home wood working shop to make wood pieces to sell to a tole painting studio. She studied and taught classes in painting with acrylics for several years before happening upon a new medium called Paverpol, which would take her in a whole new creative direction. Kathryn joined the Coast Collective in November 2009 as a gift shop artist and instructor. She also organized and was directly involved in the gallery show "Sitting Pretty" for three consecutive years. She and her friend Patricia created PKDesigns, a home based business in which they upcycle chairs and accessories, creating artful, one of a kind pieces for the home or office. Her experience at running her various arts-based enterprises gives her a keen eye to detail. Kathryn has served as our Treasurer since 2015 and looks forward to another year of helping the Coast Collective to grow and be ever more successful.
