Kathryn Fudge has always been driven to create art in one form or another. As a child she was always doing arts and crafts, or baking, or making clothes for her dolls. As an adult her creative skills allowed her to be a stay at home mom to her three children and work from home in various jobs. She worked for many years as a seamstress, then set up an at home wood working shop to make wood pieces to sell to a tole painting studio. She studied and taught classes in painting with acrylics for several years before happening upon a new medium called Paverpol, which would take her in a whole new creative direction. She got certified as an instructor as soon as possible and has been teaching ever since.
Kathryn joined the Coast Collective in November 2009 as a gift shop artist and instructor. She also organized and was directly involved in the gallery show “Sitting Pretty” for three consecutive years. She and her friend Patricia created PKDesigns, a home based business in which they upcycle chairs and accessories, creating artful, one of a kind pieces for the home or office.
Kathryn feels most fulfilled when creating something new, be it art, a home renovation or even gardening. Â She also takes great joy in learning new skills and techniques and sharing that knowledge through the classes she teaches.
