1st day at the Coast Collective Classroom: Hand build your clay piece in the classroom at the Coast Collective under the guidance of two experienced potters.

2 nd day: A week later, after the pieces have dried and been bisque fired, the class will relocate to the kiln location where the class will learn how to glaze and fire their creations in the exciting atmosphere of the specialized raku kiln. To create the beautiful metallic effects typical of raku, the red hot pieces are removed from the kiln and placed in a reduction chamber, continuing until the firing is complete, and where the magic happens.  Second session is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if rain), this will be discussed at class.

With a maximum of 8 participants (minimum 3) and 2 of us teaching, we can cater to all abilities and give individual support.
