Final Weekend for “Water Works and More!” and “Beginnings” Exhibitions
Two amazing shows will be coming to an end on Sunday, January 28, so if you haven’t yet seen “Water Works and More!” by Anne M. Miller or the Beginnings Exhibition, make sure you come in this weekend! (We’re open Saturday and Sunday, 11-5).
“Water Works and More!” is a solo exhibition of watercolour artwork, plus a few acrylics, by Anne M. Miller, a longstanding member of the Coast Collective. This exhibition showcases Anne’s water-themed watercolour works, from crashing waves so translucent and airy you can almost feel the sea foam, to mirror-smooth, flower-lined canals in Amsterdam. And if you’re a fan of Anne’s beautiful florals, fear not, because the “More!” portion of the show includes those too, as well as some fanciful and boldly coloured acrylic mini-paintings inspired by the works of Huntertwasser.
The Beginnings Exhibition, on in the main gallery, features a broad range of artwork from artists showcasing their work for the first time as well as experienced artists trying out new mediums.
The above image shows one quarter of the fabric piece “My Story” set next to a razor blade sculpture called “Symphony,” both by Ryan Broderick. To see these and more stunning and varied works, make sure to visit the Coast Collective this weekend.
As always, the gallery is free to attend.
